Winning
There is not better feeling in the world when you come up with a victory but do you get recognition for it? There is more then one way to achieve victory. There is the physical victory, mental, and spiritual victory. The one I want to talk about is the physical. The other two to come in a later blog. This weekend the men's track team won conference. It was a great win this year and it adds to our winning reputation. Everyone performed well. On the other hand there was another battle for conference in another sport. They didn't win. Who's going to get recognition? Although basketball lost there more likely to have bigger news then the track team. Excuse me track teams. The track teams are so oblivious to anyones minds that it almost doesn't exist on campus and what people fail to realize is that track is the most winningest sport on campus and constant as far as the mountain west. Sports is politics and well basketball and football are just two powerful

Relationships
Why is trying to have a relationship with someone so hard. We have the awkward three second meet at a party or the infamous introduction form a friend. Then your new prospect and yourself have a few conversation over text and you move on to the long conversations on the phone or hanging out. At this point you know a little about the person and wanting to know more. Usually at this point a relationship can go two ways. Way one is you two go on to become boyfriend/girlfriend or friend. Opposed to all other statics BYU my be the only place where a girl might want to marry you in the first 10 minutes of your relationship but that's not the point. My question to ever person of the opposite sex is why do you dream of the perfect man to be with. Then say all the attributes that you want in a man. Look around the room and never realize that the person your looking for is in front of you the whole time but you look past that person because of maybe one thing. All I say is that no one person is an exact match and you look at couples who portray this perfect relationship and that's what you want but believe this no one person is perfect and that couple works to be that way and that is marriage. One chance is a model to go with and if that person screws up that chance then move on. A quote I love is "Love is putting your heart out to a person and then trusting that they won't break it." Unknown. Setting yourself of for failure is the way to grow because you never know if that person you overlook in a room is the person you could have eternal joy with.

Free Coke?
I did something a few days ago I never thought of doing. I brought a person at a restaurant their meal. It was really cool because I gave the waiter my card and told him not to only pay for mine but for the guest that was eating across the room for my. The waiter initial reaction was "What?" I replied "You heard me." He didn't quite understand why I would be paying for someone's meal. After he came back the expression on his face was the same. It was one of those faces like this person is weird and why would he be spending money on someone he doesn't know. I felt good the rest of the day. I spent money on someone I didn't know and wether or not I changed his day for the better it did mine. Something as simple as giving something to a person or smiling a person that you walk by could change their day for the better. Everything could be going wrong and that smile was the one thing that went right for them that day. This gesture is one thing I may attempt to do more often

The video game world
The video gaming is nothing short of art. If you think about it the work a game maker puts into a game. All of the hours that he or she puts into making it a image of what they see. There are some positive and some negative effects of video games. One of the positives is it's inexpensive fun. Although the game system or the game itself maybe expensive it's a really great investment to hours of family fun, fun with friends, or enjoyed by yourself. New systems like the Wii also have new innovative ways to have fun with exercise to eliminate gaining weight or being over weight. Some negative effects would be problems with young children transferring violence over. Positives can out weigh the negatives.
